What is synthetic marijuana?

At its core, synthetic marijuana is a concoction of industrial chemicals sprayed onto dry leaves and cut grass, packaged in brightly colored packages, and sold under a variety of brand names, most notably K2 and Spice. Others have been discovered. It’s designed to look like marijuana, but it affects the brain in a different way than the natural drug, causing users to experience “anxiety and agitation, nausea and vomiting, high blood pressure, and tremors,” according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse. You may experience seizures, hallucinations, etc. An ever-changing array of chemicals are used, and their combinations and potencies vary from brand to brand and batch to batch.
